Getting kids involved. The New York Times has a program called Newspaper in Education through which they distribute newspapers to schools, along with lesson plans that help teachers discuss current events with their students. This poster was designed as part of a package of material about democracy and the electoral process. Instead of relying on the usual clichés about voting and politics, we created an image which was much more direct and engaging.
