Take a new look. In making signage for this landmark building, we wanted to honor architect Louis Kahn’s design philosophy by using and respecting quality materials. So the entry sign is both old (slate) and new (LED), simple room plaques are made of solid zinc, and many signs are projected in light to both protect and draw attention to the building’s walls. We also made brochure racks, an event calendar, a modular donor wall, and a set of icons to be used in the building. Even the floor numbers follow Kahn's ideas. The result is a set of elements that is simple, elegant, and modest.
