Making issues clear. The New York Times Op-Ed page commissions at least two editorial illustrations every day, 365 days a year, and many of those are done by graphic designers. We've created lots of illustrations for the page, including pieces addressing consumerism, the power (or lack thereof) of American institutions, education, the apocalypse, and the rights of the accused, college admissions procedures, PowerPoint and the separation of church and state, among others.
